Get the Party Started is the title of the latest album from Welsh singer Dame Shirley Bassey and features thirteen new remixed and re-worked tracks by some of today's most contemporary producers. In addition, the album features new recordings including the cover of P!nk's "Get the Party Started", which fronted the 2006 Marks & Spencer Christmas advertising campaign. This album project was spearheaded by Dame Shirley Bassey and sees her working with songwriting partners Catherine Feeney and Nikki Lamborn, who co-wrote the song, "The Living Tree". The album was released in the UK and Europe on Monday 25 June 2007 and, unusually, did not leak onto the internet before this release date. This album entered the charts at #6 in the UK.
